ABOUT SAM
Hey I’m Sam! I am the owner of Sam Fortis Hair & Beauty Salon along with Sam Fortis Training Academy, based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire. I have been in the nail industry for around 17 years now. I love everything nails, playing with new products, trying new skills because you can never know enough right! I’ve worked in a few different salons throughout the years, until 2 years ago when I opened my dream salon. For the last 8 years I’ve always wanted to put my focus more into teaching but I never really had the time. During lockdown I decided to use my time wisely which is where I gained my teaching qualifications. I was so proud as I knew it was the first step into something I’d dreamed of for so long. Then when I opened my salon everything started falling into place.
Teaching is my happy place, my passion, passing on my experience and expertise to students who are just beginning the journey. Watching them flourish makes me extremely proud. I offer group based training of no more than 6 so I can focus and give each of my students 100% of my attention. I do also offer 1-2-1 if requested. After my courses are finished i continuously stay contact with all my students until they feel confident and capable. If there’s anything they don’t know I’m always on hand to help. The academy’s door is never closed.

My training academy is located at my salon which is just out of the centre of Mirfield. There is Mirfield train station which is a 5 minute taxi ride. The M62 is also located close by, exit J25 for Brighouse. There is free parking on site with a few local shops/sandwich shops.
