Q&A with Morgan Atlanta

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE HONA AS YOUR COMPLETE SYSTEM?

I've used HONA for years, long before they launched their gel system and always loved their products and them as a brand. I started offering builder gel as a service just after lockdown as during this time, I seen a huge increase in the general public loving this form of nail treatment. However, alongside this I found many techs and their clients having reactions, so I knew I had to educate myself beyond my nail training to offer the safest treatments for my clients. I trialled many brands and stuck with two- that was until HONA informed me that they were launching their own gel system and invited me to their launch party (HUGE PINCH ME MOMENT!) Since this very day of trialling their hypoallergenic system and the brands morals and ethics aligning with mine, I never looked back!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT BEING A NAIL TECH?

I eat, sleep, breathe nails and everything creativity- It's my passion! However, there's one thing I thrive for more and that's putting a smile on people's faces and making them feel good about themselves. I have made so many incredible friendships through my job and I adore the community of clients and relationships I have been able to build with them. They're my ride or dies and make my job a dream!

WHAT’S THE ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO A NAIL TECH THAT'S WANTING TO CONVERT TO HONA?

I have converted A LOT of techs to HONA and I tell them all the same thing- If you're going from a brand that has high amounts of or just has HEMA in general in its gels, allow your clients’ nails time to adapt to the hypoallergenic formula. HONA is a dream to work with and once you perfect everything, working with this system will be effortless. Not to mention also the outstanding support you have from this huge community!

I have a huge fear of pennies (that's right the coins) Dirty Dancing is my favourite film ever and I know every dance-off by heart, move by move! (One of my Besties wanted input on this one) I can back shots like they're cough syrup... Where's the Sambuca?
