Q&A WITH LYN @ lynznailsandbeauty 

Q:  If you were to create a signature cocktail inspired by your nail art style, what ingredients would it have?

A: If I were to make a cocktail based on my nail art style, I would call it Lynz Lagoon! I would say my signature art style is pop art, I just love being able to be let loose with different vibrant colours and do a mixture of abstract 60’s style inspired art. I think I was born in the wrong decade, I would have loved to be a teenager/young adult in the 60’s!! 

It would have grenadine, blue caracao, peach schnapps, vodka and pineapple juice. 

The grenadine would go in first. Then shake the peach schnapps and pineapple juice together and layer on top of the grenadine. Then shake the vodka and blue caracao together and layer on top. This would give a rainbow effect to the drink. 

Q: Name 3 HONA products you couldn’t live without. 

A: Pure Bond, Pure Foundation and my favourite gel polish Stormy 

Q:  How do you stay inspired and creative in your nail designs?

A: I believe that creativity thrives on knowledge. I try and stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and products using social media and industry articles online. I like to attend industry events to expand my knowledge. 

You should never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. We can draw inspiration from everything around us from colour to designs. I keep a journal to write ideas down in when I feel inspired, with a mood board of colours and themes.
 
A lot of my clients will come in with an inspiration picture. I will never just copy it, I always twist and put my own spin on it.

Q: If you could tell yourself something 10 years ago what would it be?

A: Believe in yourself and don’t be held back by your limiting beliefs. You’ve got this! Don’t wait for the right time, as it will never come, just go for it! Don’t care what other people think, the only opinion that matters is your own. Don’t dream it, be it! - be more Rocky Horror lol
